The community's guess for when Rockstar will finally drop Trailer 3 has moved again. Where mid-July (timed around the FIFA World Cup final) was the leading theory a couple of weeks ago, attention has now shifted to August 7, the date of Take-Two Interactive's next quarterly earnings call.

What's fueling the theory is a scheduling change: Take-Two has reportedly moved that call to 8am ET, roughly 90 minutes before U.S. markets open, instead of its usual slot after the market closes at 4pm ET with an extended Q&A. Fans and outlets including GameSpot, TechRadar and vpesports read the switch as designed to ride the wave of a major announcement — namely, a gameplay-focused Trailer 3 — rather than a coincidence of scheduling.

Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has confirmed any announcement tied to August 7. It's also unclear whether the earlier mid-July / FIFA final theory (covered in our previous Trailer 3 Watch) has been ruled out or simply overtaken by a newer, more specific rumor. With GTA 6 now roughly four months from its November 19, 2026 launch, most analysts agree Rockstar can't stay silent on gameplay much longer — but the exact date remains community speculation until Rockstar says otherwise.
