Every major heist in GTA 5 lets you choose an approach (usually a quieter 'smart/subtle' plan or a 'loud' guns-blazing one) and hire a crew of gunmen, drivers, and hackers.
The crew is what makes or breaks your take. Low-skill members take a smaller cut but can die (you lose their share) or drop loot; high-skill members cost more but keep more of the money on the table. The smart play is to hire cheap-but-decent crew members early, reuse the same people, and let them level up over multiple heists so they perform like pros for a low cut.
The Big Score (the final heist) pays by far the most, so save your best crew for it.
